Dr. Gouse founded Moremed General Practice back in 2001 and has remained steadfastly at the helm of this busy practice.
The fact that many of her patients have remained under her care since the inception of the practice is a testimony to not only her vast knowledge of general practice , but her remarkable compassion and care.
She graduated from the University of Pretoria in 1997, and remains committed to ongoing professional development.
Her special interests lie in the complex care of the elderly for whom she cares deeply as well as the often challenging task of practice administration.
Dr. Besaans graduated from the University of Stellenbosch in 1993, obtained a diploma in Child Health from the Colleges of Medicine in 1995 and thereafter completed her specialist GP training to become a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners in the United Kingdom in 2004.
She truly enjoys all aspects of general practice but particularly enjoys the management of complex patients with multiple chronic conditions like ischaemic heart disease, hypertension, dyslipidemia and type 2 diabetes.
She further has an interest in the management of metabolic conditions like obesity, as well as dermatology and osteoporosis.
Dr. Willécia Vermaak qualified as a medical doctor from the University of Pretoria in 2009. She has been a general practitioner in private practice in Pretoria since 2013.
Dr Willécia has a passion for life and people and their endless potential and whilst she enjoys a wide variety of medical fields, she has a special interest in sexual health. Specifically women’s health inclusive of hormonal imbalances and pelvic pain.
She has joined the My Sexual Health team in 2022 to better treat patients with sexual health issues with the help of a multi-disciplinary team.
She also completed an additional Travel Medicine qualification and is registered with SASTM.
She aims for holistic management of her patients’ medical and psychological needs.
